Reiki is a Japanese word that means “universal life force energy”. The word Reiki is divided into two parts – Rei which means “universal and Ki which means “life force energy”. It is a beautiful path of self-healing and self-discovery. It has been in existence for many thousands of years. Reiki was rediscovered by Dr. Mikao Usui in Japan at the end of the nineteenth century.

It is a simple technique of healing by placing one’s hand on the body. The light or energy that emits from the hands is transferred to the body of the person, resulting in healing. Reiki is also given if the person is not present in front of you.
